Belpre Area Chamber of Commerce (BACC) announces the 86th Annual Dinner “Cruising First Class” set for Thursday, October 24, at Grand Pointe Conference and Reception Center, 1500 Grand Central Ave., Vienna.
Tickets for the buffet-style meal are $65 and are available by calling 740-423-8934, through links contained in chamber communication, or by visiting www.belprechamber.com.
Social Hour is 5:30-6:30 pm followed by dinner, an evening of cruise entertainment featuring Chamber members who are “captains of their ships, and “A Night of Awards.”
Focus “Captain of Her Ship” speaker is Lindsey Kerr Piersol, executive director Parkersburg-Wood County Area Development Corporation. Piersol was named “Young Gun” in the Class of 2024 by “West Virginia Executive Magazine.”
She was one of ten “exceptional West Virginians…recognized each year for their ongoing work to improve the world around them,” according to the publication.
Qualities of those recognized include “adaptability in the face of diversity, commitment to community, and a knack for helping their fellow West Virginians.”
According to Jessica Walters, retail banking specialist and regional coordinator at Community Bank of Parkersburg, and president of Belpre Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, the dinner and celebration is the culmination of a great year and focuses on Chamber and member accomplishments.
Master of Ceremonies will be Ben Bradley of Sow-N-Sew & Sun LLC.
Hayler Watson Keffer, a singer and entertainer from Zanesville, Ohio, will create a cruise ship lounge atmosphere with her powerful voice, sparkling personality and use of many genres of music to highlight other chamber members who have been asked to “share their stories” as they have grown into “captains of their ships.”
A feature of the event includes a video presented during the 5:30 pm social hour spotlighting Platinum Sponsors and other supporters.
Stand-out businesses, individuals and organizations will be placed in the spotlight as winners as the “Night of Awards” are featured. Awards will include Belpre Citizen of the Year, Small Business of the Year, Spirit of the Chamber, Business Person of the Year, Spirit of the Community, Business of the Year, Ambassador of the Year and Nonprofit of the Year.
Social Hour appetizers and Coffee Break will feature a special focus on experiences that build teaming, relationships and a positive work environment. Dessert specialty cupcakes will be sponsored by Village Cakery.
